Fife Fifers for a Fiver at Outwith Festival

We’ve taken our popular showcase ‘Fife Fifers for a Fiver’ show to the Glasgow Comedy Festival every year for the past 5 years, but it’s now also going to make an appearance – in Fife – at this year’s Outwith Festival.

The show is happening this Thursday, 6th September, at Dunfermline’s Royal British Legion, and features Ross Leslie, Graham Barrie, Richard Pulsford, Iain Hume and Rory Fell. Naturally, all these acts have a Fife connection!

Tickets can be bought here: Outwith 5 Fifers tickets and the show kicks off at 7pm.

New Kinghorn gig

We’re pleased to be working with The Harbour View in Kinghorn to start up a regular comedy night there. This will be a Sunday evening event, and the first will be a week on Sunday, on 2nd September.

And we have a superb line-up for the first show, with both Bruce Fummey and Vladimir McTavish on the bill, supported by Shona Lawson and MC’d by Bob Graham. It’s free entry and the night kicks off at 8pm.

31st August – Rotary Club

We’ve been putting together the bill of comedians for the annual Raith Rotary Curry and Comedy evening, which this year will be on 7th September, and will again be held at Balwearie Golf Club in Kirkcaldy.

Graham Mackie is headlining, with support from Rik Carranza and the evening will be MC’d by Jeannie Jones. Ticket enquiries to the Rotary Club.

Outwith Festival: 5th-9th September

We are pleased to be running 3 comedy shows in Dunfermline’s ‘Outwith Festival’, celebrating local arts and culture, which is taking place between 5th and 9th September.

Shows will include a comedy showcase ‘5 Fifers for a Fiver’ on 6th September and popular solo shows ‘Asking for a Friend’ by Ross Leslie on 7th September and ‘Uns-Pun’ by Richard Pulsford on the 5th. All will be taking place at the Royal British Legion venue.

29th July – Aberdour Festival with Simon Evans

Our big event of the summer is the annual Aberdour Festival comedy night, which this year features top headliner Simon Evans, and takes place on Sunday 29th July. Simon will be ably supported by rising star and Scottish comedian Christopher Macarthur-Boyd. Tickets for this event are priced £15.00, and can be obtained via the Festival.

16th June – Culross Festival

We’re back for some great events over the summer.

First up this Saturday night, 16th June, we are running the annual comedy night at The Culross Festival. This event features Mark Nelson, Phil Differ and Scot Laird, with host Steven Davidson. This event may already be sold out but check for ticket availability from the Festival.

Glasgow Comedy Festival in March

We’re back with some shows in the diary for 2018.

First up will be a few shows in the Glasgow Comedy Festival in March. We’ve run a Five Fifers for a Fiver showcase show for a number of years now. It’s always just been a single performance each year but with an expanding number of Fife acts on the circuit we’ve decided to give as many acts as possible a chance to perform. So this year we’re running two separate shows in the Festival.

So you can catch the likes of Ross Leslie, Jay Miles and Declan McGuigan on Sunday 11th March and the likes of Graham Barrie, Kate Dillon and Richard Pulsford on Friday 16th March.

Both shows are at Liberte on North Street. Tickets are of course £5 (plus online booking fee) and can be bought from here:
Tickets for 11th March
Tickets for 16th March

Happy New Year!

What a great time we had at the annual Christmas Crackers show at The Star in Burntisland last night! This brought our 2017 events to a close, the 8th of the year.

In the past year we have been pleased to run events again for the Aberdour and Culross Festivals, and for Raith Rotary Club. We also organised the comedy for a Kirkcaldy Rugby Club event, as well as bringing back the ever popular ‘Five Fifers for a Fiver’ show at the Glasgow Comedy Festival for the 5th year.

In 2018 we already have not one, but two ‘Five Fifers’ shows booked in for the Glasgow Comedy Festival in March, as well as further shows in the pipeline for the Aberdour and Culross Festivals, and for the Raith Rotary Club again in September.

Happy 2018 everyone!

Christmas show at The Star Burntisland on 28th December

We’re pleased to be bringing back the annual Christmas show to The Star pub in Burntisland, on 28th December. We ran this show every year between Christmas and New Year from 2010, but decided to give it a miss last year. Having regretted that decision, we’ve agreed with the venue to have our first show back there in a couple of years. If you’re local, tell your friends about it and come along if you can!
